Plastic Pumps Heavy-duty Plastic Centrifugal pumps are horizontal, self-priming, and close-coupled centrifugal pumps. These rugged pumps have flow capacities from 5 to 1,000 gpm. All components in the wetted end of the pumps are molded of engineered plastics such as PVC, CPVC, POLYPROPYLENE, PVDF, and ECTFE. As a result, high temperature corrosive fluids can be safely and economically moved with these standard centrifugal, self-priming and close-coupled centrifugal pumps. These non-metallic centrifugal pumps are designed to move HF, HCL, H2SO4, HNO3 slurries, caustics, solvents, and other chemicals against heads up to 240 ft. Also ultra-pure liquids can be pumped without fear of contamination because the engineered plastics are inert to most chemicals. Fluid temperatures may reach 275º F. These pumps are designed to accommodate all commercial mechanical seals. The unique sliding bar construction with its retractable front bearing design simplifies maintenance and adds reliability. |
